The Phantom Cardiologist

In an earlier post, I mentioned that I never heard from my previous weight loss surgery program again. Still true. However, the day that I had my first appointment in Boston at the new program, I received a phone call from a random cardiologist office. I happened to be sitting in the waiting room, and as I wasn't expecting a call from any cardiologist office, I sent it to voicemail.
I listened to the voicemail as I was driving home. I was referred by program 1 to a CARDIOLOGIST to have some workups done. What? After all that, two months later, I get referred to the wrong doctor—seeing as I was told multiple times I needed to see a pulmonologist—with no word from the program itself.
I think I made the right decision going to the new program in Boston. Proof.
